New England Programs

Over 2,000 children are born in New England each year with congenital heart disease, and DOCF works closely with Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and its partner Boston Children’s Hospital to best optimize the care provided for these kids. This work is vital not only for the children directly impacted, but also to inform the continued development of DOCF’s pediatric cardiology program in the Dominican Republic. Through our Medical Advisory Council, the heads of the pediatric and pediatric cardiology programs from CEDIMAT and MGHfC regularly speak and collaborate to bring the best practices and advances from our New England Program to our Program in the Dominican Republic.
